I figured it out!
I'm trying to slowly align my sleep schedule with Korean time (KST). During all of my interviews last year there was a 13-hour time difference. An interview at 9:30am KST = an interview at 8:30pm/20:30 EST. I had these interviews successfully. And when I say 'successfully', I mean that I did not miss any of the calls. So today, around 5:30pm/17:30, when I was setting my phone to different time zones, I was really confused when it told me that it was 7:30am in Seoul.
And so I wondered, 'How could this be?!' There was definitely a 13-hour time difference last year. I started checking different sites and realized that South Korea has no Daylight Savings Time. They don't, but wee dooo! From about March to early November, there is in fact a 13-hour time difference. But thanks to DST, there is also a 14-hour time difference. I have not lost my mind. Haha, I just had a bit of a blond moment...
I thought it was share-worthy, though. So now we all know!
In 2012, March 11- November 4 = 13-hour difference. Before or after = 14-hour difference. (KST/EST)
:)
Here's a wonderful time and date site, in case you need to double-check for other locations.
Take care!
